The Boulders is one of the most beautiful and relaxing hotel settings in the Phoenix area. Set against a majestic mountain backdrop, the surrounding green of the complete golf courses is as much an attraction for tourists as for locals looking for an escape from life's rigors. - CitySearch - Suggest Change

Great Ambiance, average service The Boulders should not be rated as a five star hotel, except for the prices. I've had better service and experiences at a Marriott for less money. Breakfast for two will run you about $50.00. Service was very slow and the food was brought to our table cold. My wife and I attended a wedding at the resort in March 2006. The food served during the wedding was quite average. The rooms clothing iron was old. When I pressed my pants, water and salt deposits leaked all over. Our telephone went kaput on our depature, and we had to call for service from our cell phones. Two days cost us over $950.00 and most tipping is forced upon you, eliminating improvement and incentive.
