Rolandos - Woweeee What a great place to relax and unwind after a long road trip. [27 Aug 2006 02:23:16] Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: talapia --Anonymous - mxmn1 at juno dot com
Delicious I dined at Rolando's on a recent visit to Hot Springs and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a Cuban dish (billed as Fidel Castro's favorite), and it was delicious - perfectly spiced, aesthetic presentation and reasonable price. The service was good. I am moving to Hot Springs and plan to dine at Rolando's frequently, taking guests there too. Weird and Disgusting I dined at Rolando's on a recent visit to Hot Springs and was surprised...no, mortified, at the food that was served to us. Every item on the menu looks like a heaping pile of someone else's table scraps and smells and tastes even worse! Lula's Enchilada's arrived in a sour cream bath, served alongside a pile of pickled onions, cucumbers, and what I assume were my beans and rice. Visually confusing, I didn't know where to start or whether or not I should. (My food stunk so bad!) The chips were stale. The only thing that tasted good was our beer, which had nothing to do with them.
I would never eat at Rolando's again and I would never recommend it to someone that I actually liked. If you have ever eaten real Latino food before, then stay far far far away.
