Great Place to eat for homecooking!
Brown's is a wonderful restaurant with that old country feel! Featuring a great buffet, it offers something for almost everyone from fried catfish and shrimp, to beans and cornbread. Also do not miss out on the country store, it features hundreds of wonderful gift items! If you leave Brown's without sampling some of their homemade fudge and taffy it will certainly be a regret! Huge Home Cooking Style Buffet
Took the family to Brown's Country Store and Restaurant. The buffet is long at about 100 feet.
The specialty here seems to be southern style home cooking. Some of the dishes which I either saw there or ate were: corn, roast beef, rolls, greens, two types of potatoes, two types of fish fry, fried shrimp, ribs, fried chicken, corn dogs, spaghetti, mashed potatoes and gravy, red beans and rice, and more!
Most of the food was really good, the fried catfish was my personal favorite. Red beans and rice were a little bland. Fried chicken and the ribs were outstanding. [07 Apr 2003 13:18:48]

GREAT Food!!
My husband and I eat at Brown's every time we're close to Benton! The food is wonderful. It would be nice if the desserts were labeled like the rest of the buffet line, it's hard to choose something when it's "Mystery Pie" or "I dunno what this stuff is, but it's good!" A Must Eat!

Delicious!!!!!!
I do not eat buffet style meals. They are usually bland and old. I was skeptical about stopping at Brown's on our way home from up north, but I gave in to my husband. I was so very impressed. The selection was great and the food was outstanding. I wish I was in Arkansas more often. I also loved the store. We were in it for over an hour. The fudge was to die for!!! [13 Nov 2008 12:45:42]
