Fantastic Food Perk's has the best cheeseburger I've ever put in my mouth. Their food is ALWAYS great and I'm always treated like a member of the family. If you're anywhere near central Alabama, it's worth the trip to Harpersvilled just to eat a Perk's. Perk's scores a 7 on the AL 10 Point Scale Pretty decent BBQ sandwich. Being a serious BBQ enthusiast, I found Perk's surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because I haven't heard much about it and it's slightly of the main road (hwy 280/Harpersville, AL). Vinegar based sauce, which is always a plus. Southern hospitality at its finest. The 2 ladies at the helm that day made us feel like we were dining at our grandmother’s house. Service with a smile. Lots of “hey sugar” and “Sure thing Darlin” going around. My colleague surprised me upon ordering by going Memphis on me with regards to her sandwich. I followed her lead and my mouth was glad when the slaw, pork, bread, and vinegar sauce began to take hold.
My colleague and I originally gave Perk's a 6.5 on the Alabama 10 point scale but bumped it to a 7 because the establishment doubled as a Notary Public. Plus my dog Gus was able to eat with us.
