Don't Go Here!!!
My brother and sister-in-law and my wife and I went to Gulf Shores for the first time last fall on vacation. One evening, we decided to go to BJ's...since it was billed as the oldest restaurant in Gulf Shores. The waitress was extremely slow and cold and had no personality. We finally were given our slaw and salads after a long wait....now mind you, there were only 2 other occupied tables in the whole place (one couple and a young family of 4), so she wasn't that busy. I took 2 bites out of the slaw and found a dead cockroach lying in it. I immediately put it aside and alerted my sister-in-law, who also had the slaw. When we finally saw the waitress again, I told her about the extra protein. She quickly took it away without apologizing in any way, and brought the two of us a salad. There was never an apology or any acknowledgement of the dead cockroach, and we were charged the full price for the meals. Needless to say, we won't be visiting this "place" again.    [02 Sep 2003 16:37:47]
