Description:
Yes, this really is a shack by the side of the road, out on the less-developed East End of St. John. Dining is strictly open-air, and very casual, on picnic tables in front of the stand. The best known dish is garlic chicken. Other home-style Caribbean items, such as johnnycakes and conch fritters, are also available.
Restaurant hours can be variable, so it is a good idea to call ahead. The restaurant only accepts cash.

Vie's Is to Die for
Vie's Snack Shack is definitely worth the drive to Hansen Bay. The food is fabulous and the ambiance is definitely Virgin Islands. [26 Feb 2005 11:11:32]

If you ever visit St. John, it's a must that you eat here. Vie is the best, and her food is like one person said, "It's to die for." Loved it and will definitely visit her again when I go down there again. [16 Jul 2008 11:18:23]
