Exellent foos and service
The food is exellent. I stayed at the hotel for alsmost a week and enjoyed the daily specials. All of it was very nice, altough the servings were a bit small after having been out skiing all day.
The service was prompt and friendly.
The style of the restaurant is a bit odd. Most of it is centered around the nature with sturdy tables, bearskins on the walls et.c. but then it has some western elements thrown in. It looks nice, but doesn't quite match.
If you stay at the hotel you also get a very nice breakfast buffet where you shouldn't miss their smoothies.    [30 Mar 2002 07:01:21]

Wonderful Hotel and Restaurant
This beautiful old hotel is a Sälen favorite. It is near the Sälenstuga which is the lodge for the nearby ski slope. I have been there many times, most recently this year after the baptism of my nephew. The food is consistently very good, and the people are very friendly.

The ambiance is nice, rustic with traditional furniture and lots of wood, broad beamed wooden floors and wooden panelling, this is very traditional in Sweden.

If you go to Sälen I think you will find that this is one of the best restaurants to go to if you want a good meal.    [08 Jul 2003 14:11:37]
