Excellent Chinese Cuisine Authentic Chinese food was served, with particular mentions to the soup-filled xiao long bao, the tasty zha jiang mian and the wine-marinated chicken. My boyfriend specially fancies the sour-spicy soup, although at times it is a slight bit too oily.
The ambience was authentically Chinese too. I personally thought dining at a table with live fish beneath it for decoration was really cool!
Strangely, the food was extremely affordable. Definitely good value for money. [12 Jan 2004 09:44:51] Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: Xiao Long Bao, Zha Jiang Mian --Tong -
Not Your Typical Singaporean Chinese fare The food was said to be authentic. We had pretty high expectations.
I was there with my Boss, his wife and two of my colleagues. So we ordered alot. One after another the dishes came, tasteless they all were. In fact, halfway into the meal, I lost my appetite. Some do have a good mix of herbs, seasoning and some sauce, quite aromatic.
The service is pretty good. My boss left a fat tip.
The ambience is very nice. Very Chinese, with arches and paintings. But like all Chinese restaurants, it's very noisy. You can request for a more private table though. [01 May 2006 23:23:30] Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: Xiao Long Bao, Zha Jiang Mian --Jac -
