Good Food, Excellent Service
I just had a family dinner in CJPR. Although the interval between the dishes was a little long, I would like to say thank you for the excellent service provided by the staff that served us that evening. She is very courteous and polite. She is also attentive and helpful. With such an excellent and helpful staff, I will definitely recommend the restaurant to my Singapore and Oversea friends. Service: Takashimaya basement branch
The service generally is good. The staff are very polite, friendly and always carry a smile.

There is one particular stuff I would like to give my appreciation to. And he is Patrick, whom I believe is one of the superiors. My son and I were sitting at the kitchen exit. Though there was a slighly raised barrier next to our table, when a sizzling pot was placed on the service desk next to us, the hot sauce splattered slightly on me. I made a complaint to Patrick there and then. He immediately instructed the kitchen staff not to place hot and sizzling plates on the service desk next to us. He even repeatedly checked that his instructions were followed. When it wasn't, he made it a point to continually remind the staff. He did that at least three times. Unpleasant Encounter in the Restaurant
The waitress at the bakery shop was so rude. Apparently, I do not have any small change in my wallet when I gave a $50 note to her for buying some cakes. She was making some noise in front of all the other customers and throw the change at the bakery tray whereby is so oily. I was so mad and decided to tell all my colleagues how I was treated at the bakery shop last nite. Everyone knows that I am a cake/bread lover. Good but too simple
The food and dim sum is great. Especially the huge varieties of la mian and fried rice. But i think the result is too simple for a high class restaurant,like a vegetable wanton la mian is simply noodles with 4 big wantons,which i think i can make myself.    [17 Aug 2003 10:07:41]

Service still bad
Seriously, does anybody think that perfect makeup and a smart uniform make for good customers relations? I passed by the takashimaya branch on tuesday, 7 September and decided to sample the mooncakes. The waitress at the sampling counter gave curt, unclear answers to simple questions regarding the mooncake i was going to sample. She appeared impatient, scornful and was utterly unhelpful - at a time when there was no other customers waiting to be served. Her boorish, rude behaviour has one consequence - although I have been buying mooncakes from Crystal Jade for the past years, this is absolutely the last time I'm considering any purchase from the restaurant. Felt cheated
Today I was at Ngee Ann City branch. I was rather disappointed when the 'live' soon hock that I ordered at $7/100gms turned out to be otherwise. The fish did not taste fresh, as the fresh was not firm non tasty. The 600gms fish looked no more than 300gms, at the most 400gms. (I have been buying fish from the market for >20yrs, therefore my judgement cannot be wrong. The length of the fish was 8 to 9 inches from head to tail. It only covered 2 third of your oval dish.

Crystal Jade has established a name in Singapore and the chain is doing very well. Surely and I believe that at management level they may not be aware of what's happening on the ground. Such integrity issues should be checked and avoided for reputation sake.

Otherwise, the food was good; however the service was slow. My children were very hungry and we thought that we could be able to eat tim sum that can be ordered fast.    [19 Dec 2004 07:04:21]

Service overly rated
I made a phone booking a few days ago and the staff service was terribly impatient with my questions. I always feel that Crystal Jade did not invest time to train its staff.
