The most tasty in Crystal Jade Kitchen is their poridge. It is not too salty and not too plain - a natural taste.
The most friendly waiter is Chong Kok Choow. He is so kind to everybody. The place is clean and the price not too expensive. Even students can eat there once a day. That restaurant is very excellent.    [18 Jul 2003 11:56:20]

Among all of the restaurants I have been too, this is the restaurant with the worst (I really mean WORST) service. No doubt the food is very worthwhile but with the type of service they provide, anyone would just lose their appetite. It is absolutely disappointing to receive such rude service from such a reputable restaurant. Service is the most important factor in the food and beverage sector. Even if the restaurant can serve the best and the most delicious food in town, with a bad and lousy service anyone would definitely be put off and would have doubt in visiting that restaurant ever again.    [26 Feb 2004 21:09:27]

Bad Service
Food is good and the price is reasonable. However, service by the Tampines mall branch manager is extremely poor. We faced difficulty in settling our children's seating arrangment and the manager offered no help. To make matter worse, she made rude remarks hinting the delay will affect their business. Crystal Jade Kitchen - Takashimaya S.C
The is a well-known dim sum restaurant in Singapore. However, the service was totally disappointing. When we were guided in, the table was totally empty, no table cloth, no plates. It was quite an awful scene. Next, the waitress was not at all well trained. When she was setting the table, she was practically slamming the plates and stuff and the table, not to mention occasionally toppling some items on the table. When the food was served, the waitress gestured rudely for the 'menu' so that she can mark whatever is ordered. However, what is worse is yet to come. We actually found a COCKROACH in the noodles!! The manager just came over and give an insincere apology and went off. The reason why I'm writing here is because Crystal Jade doesn't even have feedback forms. Crystal Jade Kitchen In Jurong Point
I was always a Crystal Jade supporter. I have always liked their food & service. However, this event completely changed my view of Crystal Jade. I ordered the Set meal which cost about $33. Upon Payment I took out my credit card voucher that acts as a $20 cash voucher. The cashier told me that I will not be able to use it. When I asked why, she told me I should read the small print on the set meal order sheet, and It was my fault that I did not check with them before ordering. She told me that If I want to complain, I should complain to the credit card company.
I work in a service job, and fully understand that there could be certain terms and conditions tied to each promotion, but shouldn't it be the service provider who brings their customer's attention to the clause?
I was only there to enjoy dinner, not there to buy a car or a house where there are so many conditions to be met. I was actually expecting her to apologise, but she did not. She kept saying that "IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS".    [03 Oct 2005 22:43:22]

Average food and service

Bad Service
An unpleasant experience. I was totally disappointed with the service provided by a staff member (Ms Fong).

She was not keen to recommend dishes when requested, due to that we had only ordered rice, beancurd, veggie and roast duck. Shortly after, all dishes were served except roast duck. Even after numerous reminder about our roast duck, no action was taken. She kept chatting with her colleagues.

We were rushing for time, we cancelled our roast duck and asked for bill. Again no action taken! We have to walk to cashier and was suprised that roast duck was charged!
While waiting for bill to be changed, the cashier told us that it was a common 'incident'.

Great Food, Lousy Service.
I always go to Crystal Jade Kitchen in Takashimaya when i go to Singapore. The service is absolutely bad, but the food is very delicious and worth it to be in line for almost an hour. The auntie that is responsible for the waiting line is so arrogant and never smiles. I think they have to take the service thing more seriously, because it can destroy the restaurant.    [02 May 2006 08:40:19]
