Asia Grand Restaurant
While a stylish presentation is well and good, the mark of a good restaurant still lies in its cooking. On that count, Asia Grand Restaurant lives up to its legacy. They does some good Cantonese roasts too, in particular its roast pork and roasted peking duck. The lean pork has an excellent crackle, with the skin roasted to a perfect crisp. The peking roasted duck is tender and juicy.

If you miss old-fashioned dishes such as eight course-treasures that few restaurants offer, you'll find an excellent update version here. You have to order it at least a day in advance but it's worth the effort.    [02 Dec 2005 22:51:15]

EXQUISITE!!!!
I found this restaurant through this site and have found the previous reviews were all correct. If those of you who want to taste what authentic Chinese food is like and be in a real Singaporean family atmosphere this is the place for you. The staff were always attentive and food served one after another without having to wait. The roast duck was crunchy and mouthwatering. The pumpkin soup with seafood served in a pumpkin which was very nice (be careful it's very heat hot). There's nothing I can fault with this restaurant it's perfect for the traveler who want to enjoy a perfect Chinese dinner.

I especially commend Ms. Shirly Ng - Assistant Manager. She always had a smile on her face even when the restaurant was packed with customer. She recommended Chinese dishes that compliment each other.    [10 Feb 2006 08:43:12]

Dish Discovery
This establishment is so delicious that you can just ignore its outdated hotel lobby ambiance. Upon stepping into this Chinese restaurant, I could smell the aroma flowing into my nose and was wondering what the chefs were going to recommend to fill up my mouth.
The dishes feature almost a hundred items on the English-Chinese menu. The varieties range from traditional fine Chinese dishes including prime seafood selections to various poultry choices, roasted pork items and many others dishes that you can orders for the table to go around.
Mr. Andy Chou the manager always cherishes his regular’s clients by recommending some fusion dishes with good results. You could see the regulars, ranging from young execs to business moguls having a good meals and services provided by the staff.
I highly recommend Asia Grand Restaurant.    [18 Jul 2006 00:53:03]

Hard to beat
It has become one of our favourite haunts. We frequent it (6 times thus far) for its informality, alacritous service and quality Cantonese cuisine at sensible prices. In addition to all else, the place is BYO friendly, offering quality stemware, decanter etc. sans corkage. We find Maitre d’ Andy helpful and most obliging; never once say no to requests for off-menu fare.    [23 Jul 2006 23:36:26]
