Sundown Restaurant
A small "family run" type restaurant where the "sun goes down" (West Shore). Recommended, we only had good experience. Excellent food, but do not expect fancy furniture (it was plastic those days). However, you can get specialities like "Bat curry", too. Do not be afraid to try...
Our absolute favourite was the "octopus curry", which was rather "red" stew as not the traditional "yellow indian curry" spiced it. Incredible, even after two years when we talk about it we just say "oh, that octopus curry".
If you are in Mahe you should not miss Sundown, even if it is not on the popular part of the island.    [30 Oct 2004 16:56:16]
