Description:
Akropolis is a restaurant with a large variety of traditional Greek cuisine - some of which may be familiar to Romanian customers. A nicely decorated place, with arty pictures from Greece, the restaurant also has a bar and a fast-food section (separate entry).
You can always here some Greek music, fortunately not to loud so you won't be disturbed.
The food is good and comes in great quantities, for a good price.

Treat yourself with a Greek dinner
"During the first days", said the waitress, "the owner - a Greek man - cooked himself, to teach the regular cook how it should be done".
That was a good idea. We discovered at Akropolis lots of well-prepared Greek dishes. You get your food pretty fast, it comes in great quantities, and tasty enough so you don't let anything on the plate.
Not to mention that you won't get robbed - prices are moderate and after you taste the food, you'll definitely agree to its price.
Digestion may be helped be the good, not-to-loud, original Greek music, altough you may learn the 2 or 3 CDs they always play if you stay long enough there :-).
Akropolis is a VERY good choice if you want to try something new and tasty someday. Phoning ahead is recommended.

TIP: Try the first dish on the "House specialities" list.    [08 Mar 2005 12:11:53]

is you've never been to Greece, you could tryit.Otherwise- forget it!
Genuine greek atmoshpere, meaning that nobody cares about you, nonchalant service and a rather clean place... Food has something of the Greek spirit, yet too greasy and missing many of the spices that make the real Greek cuisine great...plus virtually no fresh ingredients (everything frozen). Don't get me wrong, the food is quite OK, yet not great, but if you're fed up with pizza or pasta, served just about everywhere, you might consider this as an emergency escape.    [24 Oct 2006 05:25:01]
