Best Food and Service
Everything was perfect! We enjoyed the food, the service, the ambiance. My husband does not speak Spanish and everyone at the restaurant spoke English and made him feel welcome. My husband asked for a specific brand of beer and the bartender came to our table to tell him that the beer was not cold and ask if he preferred another choice. When the beer that my husband wanted was cold, he came back to our table to let us know. This type of service impressed us a lot. Next time we go to Puerto Rico, we will definitely go to that restaurant again. I'll recommend Pasion por el Fogon to everyone. [13 Nov 2006 00:05:50]

Excellent
The food is excellent. Whenever I go to Fajardo one of my meals must be at La Pasión por el Fogón.
[Ed. Note. This review has been translated from the original Spanish:
La comida es excelente. Cada vez que voy a Fajardo una de mis comidas tiene que ser en La Pasión por el Fogón.] [31 Jul 2007 18:38:54]

Best Food in Fajardo
I have been here twice in the last two years and every time been treated great and fed like a king.
If you go during non-peak times the chef sometimes comes out and makes sure you are treated well, and when I say well I mean really well.
Tried the 'fried chillo' with fried plantain (tostones) and it was delicious: fresh and well prepared...and a huge portion even from American standards.
My last visit was during peak time and server made best effort to accommodate us even without reservation.
Food again was great: I had the shrimp soup (asopado de camarones) the flavor was a blast, portion was huge, and the number of big shrimps on it was very large, and they tasted fresh and crunchy! [28 Aug 2007 22:46:01]
