Description:
The Boulcott Street Bistro has been serving Wellington since 1991. The bistro is located in a beautiful Victorian house built in 1876 and known as Plimmer House. The menu, always innovative, healthy and satisfying is complimented with a comprehensive wine list that features many wines by the glass.
Great place, and setting. Great staff, great food, fairly intimate, but tended to be quite noisy and smoky towards end of evening. [10 Jul 2003 18:07:11] Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: duck confit & lamb shanks --Anonymous -
Highly recommended ... Good things: the food (salmon and lamb shanks were both great as were the desserts, but make sure you order sides with your mains); the staff are very attentive - always keep your glasses full and are knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. Not so good things: parking in the building across the road is no longer free on weekends, and you have to go up several levels to pay before leaving. The restaurant also gets a bit noisy and crowded at times. [18 Dec 2005 23:35:42] Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: was all good. --Anonymous -
