Excellent Food & Service
The food was perfectly executed, flavours were just right, cooked competently & with pride; waiting staff were courteous & knowledgeable, prompt & efficient service, good wine list offering a large selection of New Zealand wines.    [20 Oct 2003 16:32:08]

Waste of time and money
Very bad service particularly from management/chef, rude and discourteous.    [08 Jan 2004 22:51:40]

Extremly disappointing
The food, when it finially did arrive, as luke-warm, and wasn't what we ordered. The presentation was sloppy and the waitress was rude. Very unhappy, after reading a good review, we made a special 90km trip up.    [15 Jan 2004 20:12:16]

Very impressed
Saw a review in North & South magazine, well worth the visit, food was exceptional very well cooked and perfectly presented. Small wine list, but some very good wines. Desserts were very pleasing, especially the fruit plate, which we shared, a little tip the desserts are big enough to share five different fruit desserts on one plate.    [11 Feb 2004 17:45:46]

We decided to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary at the Fuse Factory. After a 90 minute drive, we arrived and were warmly welcomed by the manager, a charming young lady, and were seated at a table by the fire. We were offered the wine menu & informed of the specials, then were brought cute little oyster canapes to enjoy before our meals. We ordered a bottle of Wither Hills Chardonnay which was/is superb & we both ordered scallops to begin - they were faultless, large, juicy, perfectly cooked & presented. For the main course we ordered slow cooked venison shank in chocolate with a hint of chilli - it was incredible. My partner ordered the fish which was snapper with tomato, crab mash & hollandaise and it too, was fabulous with a beautiful crisp skin & just cooked wonderfully and served with a beautiful fresh salad. For dessert we shared a chocolate pecan pie with rum & raisin ice cream.....definitely homemade and heavy on the rum. A wonderful meal and excellent service. Thank you.    [22 Oct 2004 05:26:20]
