Free Breathalizer With Every Meal Last evening my husband and I went out to celebrate my 51st birthday. My husband had a glass of beer and I had a cooler, very limited alcohol I'd say. We were served a lovely order of steamed mussels served in a garlic and wine sauce, which we enjoyed while we waited for our main dish of fish and chips. After about a 10 minute wait, our main dish was brought to the table. We were so looking forward to that. To our surprise, our much desired for order was burned to a crisp. The chips were extremely dark brown and dried but yet raw and crunchy on the inside. The fish was an even greater disaster. A lovely dark mahogany colour with black bits on each end to add to it's appeal. My husband and I looked at our plates and then to each other and then to the waitress who had graced us with this tempting delicacy. A true advertisement in itself.
We then complained to the waitress that our food was burned and inedible and how disappointed we were. Without even an apology from the waitress at our distress, we paid our bill, minus the main course and left their establishment, proceeding to find someplace that valued their patrons.
The following morning while I was at work, my husband awoke to hear a car leave our drive. Looking out the window, he noticed the flag was raised on our mailbox. So out he went to see what had been left, only to find it was a calling card from the RCMP with a request to phone this certain officer at this given number. Straight away he phoned but the officer had left for the day. Later that day while driving to visit a friend, my husband had been signaled by an upcoming RCMP vehicle to which he directly pulled over. To make this long story short, after our complaint about our meal, paying our bill and leaving the restaurant, Kellocks had phoned the RCMP and reported my husband for drinking and driving. What a joke. We had each had one drink, which I hasten to add that we had drank at Kellocks and I was the one that was driving the vehicle and not my husband at all.
Please tell me, is this how Kellocks treat their customers? This was our first visit there and I can promise it was our last. In closing, if you want to eat at Kellocks, don't have a drink with your meal and above all. don't complain about the quality of food. Unless of course you want to be reported to the RCMP. Maybe they hope that you'll drink their alcohol and stay the night being forced to eat overpriced and burned food. Good luck to all that don't heed my words.
